“强者不练武，练武是懦夫”。习武之人绝大多数都是懦弱之辈，他们想通过习武来改变自己懦弱的现状。那么，他们要学的是什么？他们要学的是“以弱制强，以巧取胜”之道。然而，全世界的武技多为“以强制弱，以力取胜”之道，不适合懦弱者练习，大部分习武者难以提高防身技能；而少量的“以弱制强，以巧取胜”的武技又都过于脱离实际，很难在实战中运用。基于这种现状，各门各派的武术家目前应侧重于“以弱制强，以巧取胜”之道的研究，因为习武者多为懦弱之辈。
