早年听前辈们讲，说太极高手在做放人表演时，为了不使被试者跌摔受伤，有时会在被试者的后方放一把椅子，放人时能把被试者抛出跌坐在椅子上而不伤毫发，这种高超的技艺别说是亲眼目睹就是耳闻都会赞叹不已。直到去年（2004年）在网上偶然发现了一段《李小龙寸拳表演》的视频录象，我才明白了那把椅子的妙用。李小龙在做寸拳表演时在被试者的身后居然也放上了一把椅子，然而那把椅子在被试者身后的距离并非想象中的距离，那把椅子离被试者只有半米多远的距离，被试者仅有后退一步的缓冲余地，如果再往后退就会被椅子绊倒摔成“倒栽葱”，由于被试者事先知道身后有一把椅子，当身体受力时一般只是被动地后退一步就坐在了椅子上，谁也不敢再退半步！
